Skin Rejuvenation Using Forever Young BBL in Boulder, CO
Growing older is a natural process you can’t run from, no matter how passionately you want to retain your youth. It causes a variety of physical changes, from age spots to dreaded frown lines and crow’s feet. No one can turn back the clock and bask in their youthfulness again. But you can do the next best thing by scheduling a skin rejuvenation treatment. A Forever Young BBL photofacial can refresh and rejuvenate your skin in a matter of minutes. It’s one of the most versatile non-invasive treatments available to minimize signs of aging.
Boulder Valley Laser & Cosmetic proudly offers Forever Young photofacial services to revitalize old skin cells on a molecular level. Amazingly, research shows that this treatment can actually change gene expression. In this way, it modifies aging skin to more closely resemble young skin.1 This revolutionary treatment uses infrared invisible light technology to penetrate below the dermis. It works deeply to remodel the dermis, remove skin discolorations (sun spots, age spots, browns, and redness issues), and improve the structure of the facial tissues. It also makes superficial improvements to the top layers of skin. After treatment, your skin will look smoother, clearer, and younger. To schedule your appointment, please call us at (303) 558-8800.
BBL Photofacial Benefits
BBL stands for BroadBand Light. It has wavelengths between 420-1400 nanometers. In this range, light can penetrate into the skin to reach the areas responsible for pigmentation. BBL wavelengths target age spots, which are small, dark areas caused by hyperpigmentation. A BBL photofacial can also minimize skin redness from rosacea and create a smoother, more even complexion. It’s a non-surgical solution to your aging skin woes. Here are some of the top ways you can benefit from this leading-edge treatment:
BBL Photofacial Before and After*
View before and after images of Forever Young BBL photofacial patients to see real treatment results. Remember that most patients receive a series of treatments to experience the best possible outcome. It’s also important to note that people respond differently to cosmetic procedures. Therefore, it’s common for individual results to vary.*

How to Prepare for Your Forever Young BBL Photofacial
There are a few things you should do before your upcoming photofacial. We recommend avoiding sunlight or tanning bed exposure for at least two weeks before you come in. You should also avoid waxing or receiving any other type of BBL procedure for at least a week before treatment. Three days before your appointment, stop using medications that cause photosensitivity. These may include antibiotics, antifungals, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and tretinoin.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, don’t schedule a Forever Young photofacial unless you’ve cleared it with your OB/GYN first. You should also refrain from planning this treatment if you currently have cold sores or an active rash in the treatment area. If you have a history of cold sores, let us know during your consultation.
BBL Skin Rejuvenation: What to Expect
Knowing what to expect before your appointment can relieve any anxiety you might otherwise feel. This procedure can be customized to each patient’s needs. We’ll lead you to a private treatment area when you arrive for your scheduled skin rejuvenation appointment. Then, we’ll apply a cooling gel to the treatment area. We’ll also give you a pair of sunglasses to wear. These will help protect your eyes from damage while we direct the bright BBL photofacial light across your face.
The BBL handpiece we use has smooth, glass surface-emitting light pulses. You might feel a slight sting as the light pulses into your skin. The sensation is like what you’d feel if someone snapped a small rubber band against your skin. We may use up to four different filters while treating your skin concerns and each filter is carefully designed to target a specific type of skin issue. Therefore, we can target multiple skin conditions during the same treatment. Your treatment could take as little as 15 minutes or as long as 30 minutes.
Things to Do and Avoid After a BBL Photofacial
As with any other cosmetic treatment, there are some things you can do to help your results or things you can potentially do to harm your results. Here is a brief list of things to do and avoid after your photofacial:
Do:
Apply a cool pack as needed
Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 after treatment
Avoid exposing your skin to the sun without protection for at least 30 days
Follow all post-care instructions we give you
Don’t:
DON’T pick at your skin, even if it itches
DON’T use scented soaps or lotions on the treated skin for a week
DON’T use harsh exfoliants or chemical products to cleanse your face for a week
DON’T expose your face to very hot or very cold temperatures for 2-3 days
