Non-Laser Therapy
Microneedling
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that works to help improve fine lines and wrinkles (the signs of aging), improve the appearance of acne scars, and refresh your skin by stimulating your skin’s collagen.
Our medical grade Microneedling device creates thousands of micro-channel perforations in your skin stimulating your natural wound healing process. This leads to a remodeling of collagen and elastin in your skin to help improve the overall texture of your skin creating younger looking, smoother skin.
Chemical Peel
Chemical peel treatments are ideal for skin rejuvenation. They work as a superficial resurfacing of your facial skin. This treatment works to reduce the visible effects of fine lines and wrinkles, sun spots and other types of hyperpigmentation, and acne scars. Chemical peels can also be used to reduce inflammation, treat active acne breakouts, clear pores, and improve overall clarity of your skin.
What you need to know
- Chemical peels are performed by applying mildly acidic chemicals to the face for a specific amount of time. The chemicals are then neutralized and/or removed. Over the course of the next week, the treated skin peels to reveal a smoother, brighter skin tone and texture.
- For best results, chemical peels should be performed at regular intervals (every 6-12 weeks).
- Chemical peels are often combined with other therapies (like microneedling, or profractional treatments) to increase the effectiveness of the applied treatments.
Microdermabrasion
We are proud to offer state of the art Microdermabrasion to our Boulder patients!
Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical exfoliation of your facial skin performed by “sanding”, or “polishing” the skin. The effect is a deep cleansing of the skin which creates a smoother, softer, glowing appearance of your skin. You will love the way your skin looks and feels after our microdermabrasion treatment!
What you need to know
- Microdermabrasion is a painless procedure that requires no down time or recovery period.
- For best results, Microdermabrasions should be performed at regular (monthly) intervals.
- Microdermabrasions are often combined with other therapies like chemical peels, microneedling, and even some laser therapies, to increase the effectiveness of the applied treatments.
Platelet Rich Plasma
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is often used to improve the success of laser and non-laser based skin procedures, while promoting faster recovery from the procedure.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is blood plasma enriched with platelets that contains a high concentration of growth factors and other blood proteins that make it perfect for promoting healing and collagen stimulation in a natural way. We also use PRP as part of our hair restoration treatments.
What you need to know
PRP is drawn from your arm (just like when you get a blood test done). We then spin the tube of your blood in a centrifuge to remove the red blood cells. What is left is your very own platelet rich plasma (PRP). Your PRP can then be applied to your skin after a procedure (like microneedling, HALO, or Profractional therapy) to promote faster healing, and improve collagen production for smoother, healthier and more youthful results.
