Microlaser Peel

The MicroLaser Peel by Sciton sets the standard for ablative skin resurfacing. The MicroLaser Peel is a laser skincare treatment that creates smoother, tighter and more youthful skin by precisely and uniformly removing, or “ablating” the dull and damaged outermost layers of your skin.

MicroLaser Peel can treat fine lines and wrinkles, produce new collagen, and treat texture and surface irregularities in your skin to provide a softer, smoother, tighter feeling skin.

The laser treatment can be performed at multiple settings and depths. A lighter “Frost” peel can freshen the surface or be added to other skin care treatments, while a deeper MicroLaser Peel resurfacing can have a more dramatic impact.

MicroLaser Peel therapy is often combined with other laser therapies (Profractional, BBL/IPL/Fotofacial, or Microneedling) to provide more dramatic, faster results, and can be done on specific areas of the face or body.

What you need to know

  • Micro-Laser Peel therapy takes about 30-45 minutes to perform, depending on the area to be treated. A numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment to make the procedure more comfortable. After the treatment, the skin is gradually cooled and moisturized.
  • Redness and swelling are common after a MicroLaser Peel procedure and can take anywhere from 1-2 days and up to a week to subside depending on the depth and intensity of the therapy. Patients may also notice unusual warmth to the area for the first day after the procedure.
  • For best results, we recommend combining your MicroLaser Peel treatment with an application of PRP (platelet rich plasma). Some refer to this combination as a “Vampire Facial.” Adding PRP helps to further stimulate your collagen to improve results, while also promoting faster healing.
  • Over the course of the first week after a MicroLaser Peel treatment, your skin will peel and go through some changes as it begins the process of repairing and restoring itself. You can then expect to see gradual improvements to your collagen and skin over the next 3-6 months!
